Before the regular season, each team can bet on how many wins their team will get for free media points.
35-37 Wins = 1 Point
38-40 Wins = 2 Points
41-43 Wins = 3 Points
44-45 Wins = 4 Points
46-47 Wins = 5 Points
48-49 Wins = 6 Points
50-51 Wins = 8 Points
52-54 Wins = 10 Points
55-57 Wins = 12 Points
58+ Wins = 14 Points
At the end if the year if you get equal or more than the amount of wins you predicted you would have, you get the reward. If you don't you get nothing. This would serve as an incentive for teams to compete more rather than tank, as good teams who think they can have 44+ wins in a season can get 4 points out of it. Dominating teams will bet on a higher number of wins, and will have to do everything they can to get the reward.
So as Nashville if I bet on 41 wins, and I get 40 wins, I get 0 points. If I bet on 41 wins and I get 46 wins I still just get the reward for 41 wins, which is 3 points. This encourages GMs to make fair assessments of their team's worth so that they can get the maximum amount of points.
